Differentiating Your App With Deep Windows Phone integration (And A Token to App
Hub!)
App Hub Tokens
Don't have an existing App Hub account? Up to 300 tokens are available during this campaign for 30 to Launch participants
who do not have an existing App Hub account. Request a token by doing the following
(please read Official Rules for more details):
Sign Up for 30 to Launch if you're not already signed in to participate.
"Like" the Microsoft User Community on Facebook
OR tweet about 30 to Launch.
For your tweet to qualify, you must reference the tag #30tolaunch AND include the
following in the body of your tweet: I am participating in 30 to Launch to build
a Windows Phone app! Rules: http://aka.ms/f1i1lr.
We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate tweets.
Provide a short description of the app you plan to create and submit through the online form by clicking on the "I’m Done" button for Week 2 for your 30 to Launch Windows Phone app on the My 30 to Launch Idea page.
You can request a token at any time starting Week 2 or Day 8 from your start date until supplies last but the request process is associated with the "I’m Done" button for Week 2 in your 30-day schedule.
Building to Launch (and Getting Ready to Test Your App with a Windows Phone Device!)
Need a Windows Phone device for testing? Here is how you can get a Nokia Lumia 800
- not only for testing but yours to keep.
Participants that submit a qualifying .Xap file in their specific Week 3 phase - that is between Day 15 to Day 21, - and meet the criteria for the Early Bird Incentive described in the Official Rules will receive a Nokia Lumia 800 device subject to a cap of 250 devices per month in May and June.
The process is as follows:
You must be signed in to 30 to Launch during the sign up period.
You must be a U.S registered member of App Hub.
From the My 30 to Launch Idea Page for your 30 to Launch Windows Phone app, follow the instructions for Week 3 which include uploading your .Xap file of the app you are building as part of this challenge, providing your App Hub ISV ID, your app type and your shipping information. You will also be asked to verify that you agree to the eligibility criteria for the Early Bird Incentive as well as the Official Rules.
The first 250 qualifying .Xap files each month in May and June that meet the following criteria will be sent
a Nokia Lumia 800!

A shortlist of the top twenty qualifying 30 to Launch Windows Phone apps submitted during this campaign will be picked based on the peer voting phase (see below). A judging panel will then pick four winners based on the use of live tile and secondary tile (n/a for game apps), market potential, innovation and originality of the apps and use of additional Windows Phone 7.5 capabilities.
The App Development Finish Line: Day 29 and Day 30
It's the last two days to get your app submitted to the Windows Phone Marketplace
for the App Contest!
Once your app is published, be sure to come back and update the My 30 to Launch Idea page with your published app URL within 45 days from your sign up date.
Only qualifying submissions with published URL's updated in the My 30 to Launch Idea page within the 45 day timeframe from sign up will available for Peer Voting and entered for judging.

The Peer Voting Phase: July 30-Aug 13, 2012
Starts July 30, 2012: After your app is live on the Windows Phone Marketplace, the 30 to Launch Community will vote for their favorite app! In order for your app to be considered for one of the four Grand Prizes, you must vote for one other 30 to Launch app which is not your own. Use the "I’m Done" button for the voting phase on the schedule within the My 30 to Launch Idea page starting July 30. Be sure to submit your vote between July 30 and Aug 13, 2012. Tweet about your app and spread the word using #30tolaunch so other 30 to Launch participants can hear about your app!
